The College of Science took part in Al-Qasim Green University afforestation campaign, which was started by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to achieve sustainable landscapes on campus. In an effort to increase green spaces and enhance the campus atmosphere, a significant number of students, instructors, and staff participated in the campaign by planting trees and other plants. These programs fall under the umbrella of raising environmental consciousness and boosting the university's aesthetics, both of which greatly aid in promoting sustainable academic environment for staff, teachers, and students.
Al Qasim Green University started a massive afforestation campaign on campus, planting more than 500 seedlings of evergreen trees and flowers as part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's directives to support sustainable development. Volunteer teams from several university colleges participated in the campaign's first day, which will run for a whole week. Dr. Hassan Al-Awadi, the president of the institution, affirmed that the project is part of the environmental initiatives the university is working to strengthen in order to promote sustainability.
Since the distillation device is regarded as one of the most significant tools and is frequently utilized by graduate students, Professor Dr. Hazem Aziz Al-Rubaie and Assistant Lecturer Amir Salem Abdul Amir, both lecturers in the College of Agriculture, Department of Soil Sciences and Water Resources, volunteered their time to install and run it in the graduate studies laboratory after it had been put on hold for a while.
